Coping with Tinnitus

Published by at 11:12 pm under Open Chat Night

The opening topic for this Wednesday’s Open Chat Night will be: Coping with Tinnitus

I have talked with several people in the hearing loss community who have experienced some degree of Tinnitus.  Tinnitus is a perception of sound that originates in the ear in absence of corresponding to external sound.  It’s a condition commonly known as ringing in the ears.

I found an interesting iPhone app named iTinnitus that was developed to mask and relief Tinnitus.  It also includes features that offer support and treatment recommendations, and the ability to maintain and send your Tinnitus Diary to your doctor for analysis.  It could be very helpful for people suffering with this condition.

Today, medical researchers are trying to find ways to completely eliminate Tinnitus.

Join us during Wednesday Night’s Open Chat Night to share ways of coping with Tinnitus.

You can also discuss Coping with Tinnitus in the forum.
